Step 1 - The Brief
Step 2 - Brainstorm
As soon as the brief has been submitted, we will send your quotation. The process of designing your artwork begins! Once complete a draft will be sent for your consideration.
Step 3 - Refine Ideas
We will ask for your opinion on the designs. Usually one or two designs will be further worked on. However if the artwork is not right for the company further new ideas will be created.
Step 4 - Final Output
The final design is then chosen it may be one of the initial designs but it can also be a combination of ideas taken from all of the creations. When the design(s) have been signed off, the artwork is sent to the publishers, and then delivered to your specified address.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What do you charge for your graphic design services?
A: As every job is bespoke we quote on a job by job basis but you can be sure that the money you're paying is for 5 star plus work. I prefer to provide clients with a fixed rate quote for each individual project, rather than billing by an hourly rate. This means that you know how much the design work will cost and there are no nasty surprises when I bill you at the end of the project. Each client is unique and I tailor their quote to suit their individual requirements.
Q: What is the client's involvement in the design process?
A: We believe in working with our clients to find solutions that empower their businesses. This means moving through every step of the design process and solving problems together. We discuss the project with our client from the beginning. We encourage the client to bring in any samples, colour combinations/swatches, and ideas they may have. During the design process, the client is asked to approve certain stages before work continues.
Q: Can I discuss my project with you over the phone?
A: Although many of my projects have been carried out completely using just email contact, I am happy to discuss your requirements over the telephone should you require. All new clients will be supplied with my mobile number should they need to contact me.
Q: How will I receive my logo design?
A: Your final logo design will be supplied to you via email, in a variety of formats for use in both web and print. These will include JPEG, GIF, TIFF and EPS files. Other formats can also be provided on request.
Q: Who will own the copyright to my design?
A: On receipt of full payment, the exclusive copyright of the final chosen design is automatically passed to you. I do however retain the right to display the design in my portfolio, or for promotional purposes on or offline.
Q: I need a website, can you help?
A: Yes, I can provide a website design - this is the design of a graphical template for your website, supplied to you in an image format ready to be taken to a web developer to have sliced and coded into a functioning website.
The following terms and conditions apply to all design services offered by Alien Creative. By requesting services from Alien Creative you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions, whether or not you have been provided with a copy.

Copyright
Cheryl Geary, owner of Alien Creative owns the copyright of all content, materials, logos and design elements from within www.alien-creative.co.uk, unless otherwise stated. These elements may not be copied, reproduced, rewritten, published or altered in any way without written permission from Cheryl Geary.
On completion of any commissioned design work, full copyright is passed to the client once payment has been received in full. However, Alien Creative retains the right to use the final artwork in any portfolios or for marketing/advertising of our services, both on and offline.
The copyright of any earlier concepts or design ideas that may have been supplied to you to preview remains with Alien Creative. We retain the right to use such initial concepts in future projects.
Price Changes
Alien Creative reserves the right to change prices at any time without notice. However, if a client has already commissioned any services from Alien Creative prior to any change in prices, that commission will not be subject to any increase, but any subsequent commission may be subject to an increase.
Payment
Alien Creative accepts payment by cheque, bank transfer, credit or debit card via Paypal or cash, within 7 days of the date on the invoice. We reserve the right to withhold final design files or withdraw all web pages until full payment has been received for a project. Any payment returned by our bank will incur an administration charge. This will be invoiced and added to the outstanding debt owed by the customer.
Cancellation Rights
You have a right to cancel your order at any time. In the event of cancellation you will be invoiced for the cost of the work carried out so far based on our hourly rate. If no work was completed, you will not be charged.

Recommended Suppliers
Alien Creative may recommend third party suppliers to work along side us on your design project. These may include printing firms, copywriters and web developers. Should any of these companies be required, we will be happy to liaise with them on your behalf. Alien Creative will not be held responsible for any problems or delays that may occur from using suppliers recommended by us.
Design Service Terms
Alien Creative reserves the right to refuse to commit to any project that we may judge as unfit due to content or otherwise.
The acceptance of a project shall be deemed as a contractual agreement between the client and Alien Creative. We cannot always guarantee to start work immediately on a project but will inform the client of estimated timescales upon acceptance of the project.
Photographs, images and text supplied by the client must be the clients own or licensed for use by the client. Alien Creative cannot be held responsible for any breach of copyright or any other right caused by reproduction of materials supplied by the client.
The copyright for all material provided by Alien Creative, such as graphics, photographs and text, will remain the property of Alien Creative until full payment has been made.
Privacy Policy
Alien Creative is committed to protecting your privacy. Any information we collect from you is used only to process your order and to provide you with the best possible service.
